With sympathy, curiosity, and perseverance, Pasolini interviews dozens of Italians of all ages, social statuses and from different regions about sexuality and love. On the beach, on the sports field, in front of factory entrances, people talk about sexual freedom, Catholic education, marriage and divorce, homosexuality, prostitution and gender roles. Pasolini unmasks prejudices and commonplaces, gives space to confusion and hesitation, creates room for tenderness and humor.
